We moved next door to a nature preserve at the end of 2019. Little did we know when we bought our house just how much this place would come to mean to us. She Comes in Colors Everywhere was my first painting of 2024. It’s full of the hope and optimism I was feeling at the beginning of the year as well as all of the color I miss on a January day in Minnesota. The title comes from “She’s A Rainbow” by the Rolling Stones. Like so many of my paintings, an earworm of a song is the seed for inspiration.
